ArmInfo. Armenia and Kazakhstan discussed possibilities for cooperation in construction and agriculture. This was reported by the Ministry of Economy, citing the results of a meeting between the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, and the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Armenia, Bolat Imanbayev.
Additionally, the discussions included topics such as investment cooperation, increasing trade turnover, diversifying imported and exported goods, and improving logistics infrastructure. In order to raise awareness of the tourism potential in both countries, the interlocutors discussed the possibilities of organizing mutual visits of tour operators, and also talked about the prospects of resuming direct flights between Armenia and Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that according to the RA Statistical Committee, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan in 2024 decreased by 23.6%, totaling $84.1 million. Specifically, exports decreased by 33.2% to $54.1 million, while imports decreased by 0.9% to $30 million. According to statistics, the number of tourists from Kazakhstan vacationing in Armenia in 2024 increased by 4.2%, reaching 10,236 people.
