As the press service of the parliament reports, the head of the Armenian legislative body presented the steps being taken in the republic with the aim of further strengthening the protection of human rights, fighting corruption, the rule of law, becoming a competitive economy. "I believe that the democratic processes in Armenia will be deeper and faster if they receive the support of partner countries and institutions," the parliament speaker said, noting that a significant increase in aid is expected.In turn, Sokolovsky highly appreciated the reforms carried out in Armenia, assured that both USAID and other American structures are ready to render assistance to the RA in various areas of development. "USAID will continue to work with the National Assembly, as a driving force for democratic reform, and a structure that meets the needs of its citizens. an increase in the financial assistance provided by the Republic of Armenia to US $ 16 million, "said the USAID representative.Ararat Mirzoyan also stressed the importance of programs implemented in Nagorno-Karabakh through USAID, noting that the people of Artsakh also have the right to live a full life.
