Yerevan on Azerbaijani Armed Forces drills: They are unacceptable,  condemnable and cause serious damage to the peace process on Karabakh  settlement

ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign  Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan touched upon large-scale exercises  conducted by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and stressed their  unacceptability.

In this regard, the Armenian Foreign Minister said in particular: "We  constantly emphasize the important fact that if we seriously move  towards a peaceful resolution of the conflict exclusively through  negotiations and exclusively within the framework of the OSCE Minsk  Group, from the practical point of view these factors are realistic  only if we are working towards the formation of an atmosphere  conducive to peace, whereas what is happening in this period does not  in any way contribute to the formation of such an environment, both  in terms of rhetoric, and much less in terms of action. "

At the same time, the Armenian Foreign Minister stressed that it is  unacceptable and dishonorable when signs of tension are recorded, as  well as actions against civilians. "This is naturally unacceptable,  we clearly stressed that both Armenia and Artsakh are able to defend  themselves, but this is not our goal, we must avoid crisis and  situations that can lead this region to disaster." no one will win or  lose from this. It must be clearly realized. This is unacceptable,  condemnable and causes serious damage to the peace process,  "Mnatsakanyan stressed.

Touching upon the upcoming meeting with the Azerbaijani Foreign  Minister, the Armenian Minister once again stressed that the date and  place will be announced after the agreement in accordance with the  rules for publishing information of this nature will be reached. At  the same time, he once again stressed Armenia's commitment to the  settlement of the conflict through peaceful negotiations and within  the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

To note the Azerbaijani Armed Forces conduct large-scale  operational-tactical exercises from September 17 to 22 involving  various types of weapons and special forces, units and formations of  the Azerbaijani army. More than 20,000 servicemen of the personnel,  more than 200 tanks and other armored vehicles, over 120 rocket and  artillery units of different caliber, multiple rocket launcher  systems and mortars, up to 30 units of army and front-line aviation  for various purposes will be brought to the exercise. "During the  exercises, the breakthrough of enemy defense with the help of tanks  will be worked out, the destruction of Armenian military forces on  the front line in the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, the liberation  of Azerbaijani lands and the destruction of enemy military and  strategic targets by missile and artillery and air strikes will be  carried out ," the AR Ministry reported.
