ArmInfo. On the issue of Karen Ghazaryan, who is in captivity in Azerbaijan, Ombudsman of Armenia Arman Tatoyan appealed to international authorities.
In his address to international human rights organizations, the Ombudsman expressed his concern over the fact that Azerbaijan has not allowed representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross to hold a meeting with Ghazaryan for 14 days, which is cause for concern of the native of the captive regarding the state of his health.
In his statement, the Ombudsman also stresses that Ghazaryan had problems with mental health, which resulted in him getting lost and taken prisoner, and there are all necessary medical documents for it. In addition, the statement stresses that Ghazaryan, because of health problems, never served in the army, and this also has all the necessary documents. Consequently, Baku's information that he was captured during the "Armenian sabotage" is not true.
Ghazaryan was captured on July 15 2018, and there is still no information on his condition.
