He noted that a number of specific EU programs to assist Armenia in fighting corruption have already been launched. "As the European Union we are ready to help Armenia, we are already launching a number of specific programs to assist Armenia in the fight against corruption, we will see what is contained in the new government program and are ready to discuss what support we can offer at the technical level, said Switalski, stressing that an agreement has already been reached with the new government of Armenia that an ad hoc group of EU will arrive in Yerevan in autumn to conduct a "partnership study".
The ambassador noted that the purpose of the visit was to share European experience of fighting corruption with Armenian partners. "We will attract the best experts from the EU member states who have experience and knowledge both in the positive and negative aspects and we will discuss this experience with our Armenian counterparts in September," the diplomat said, expressing the conviction that " that Europe has much to show to Armenia in terms of organizing an effective fight against corruption.
