ArmInfo. In Cologne on April 15, a memorial in memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide was opened. The authors were Cologne sculptors Stefan Kaiser and Max Scholz.
As German Deutsche Welle reports, the work of local sculptors is dedicated to those who died as a result of the mass deportation of the Armenian population in the Ottoman Empire during the First World War.
A steel sculpture, one and a half meters high, is located on the left bank of the Rhine near the Hohenzollern Bridge. The triangular pyramid is crowned with a bronze grenade with a point. "This pain affects all of us," says an inscription on the memorial engraved in Armenian, English, German and Turkish.
