Sargsyan also answered questions that interested the intellectuals, which concerned the security of the country, defense, foreign policy. The participants of the meeting asked the President of Armenia how he, as a person and political leader for many years occupied numerous responsible posts in the country, passed through many difficulties and sorrow of war, represents the future president, in his opinion, what criteria the next president of the Republic should meet.
Presenting his views on the future President of the Republic, Sargsyan noted that he thinks that it should be about such a person, such a person who has passed the road, has a reputation both inside the country and abroad, can represent Armenia at the proper level , that is, to fulfill their representative functions both within the country and outside the country. The future president, on the recommendation of the incumbent head of state, should have a good command of foreign languages, have broad connections both in the Diaspora and in Armenia, have authority and, most importantly, be an impartial person who has never been involved in politics and was not a member of the party.
