Artsakh parliament members discussed with representatives of the Hay Dat offices a strategy for promoting the Artsakh issue on international platforms.

ArmInfo. Members of the Artsakh parliament, at a meeting with representatives of the Central Council, offices, and committees of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) "Hay Dat" (Hay Dat) discussed a strategy for advancing the Artsakh issue on international platforms.

According to the ARF press service, the parties also identified their priority areas, including protecting the fundamental rights of the people of Artsakh, including the realization of the right to collective return with reliable international guarantees, and advancing the issue of the speedy release of Armenian prisoners of war and hostages held in Azerbaijan. Furthermore, the preservation of Artsakh's cultural and historical heritage, countering Azerbaijan's policy of erasing the Armenian legacy, and expanding mechanisms for providing domestic, social, and educational assistance to the forcibly displaced residents of Artsakh are also important.

During the meeting, Acting Speaker of the Artsakh Parliament Gagik Baghunts emphasized the importance of the activities of Hay Dat committees and offices. In turn, Chairman of the Hay Dat Central Council Hakob Ter-Khachaturyan noted that the Artsakh issue remains the organization's focus, and that work in this direction is long-term and ongoing. He also emphasized the need to preserve Artsakh's state institutions.

At the end of the discussion, the parties emphasized the importance of continuing joint efforts and interaction. ARF Bureau member Hovsep Ter-Gevorgyan confirmed the role of the Artsakh authorities in this matter and noted the importance of such meetings for more effective coordination of the upcoming work.

As a reminder, on September 19, 2023, Azerbaijan, under the pretext of an "anti-terrorist operation," initiated a large-scale aggression against Artsakh, which led to the complete de-Armenization of the NKR. This was preceded by a nearly 10-month blockade of the republic. Since the enemy aggression that began in the fall of 2020, which culminated in the complete ethnic cleansing of Artsakh in September 2023, over 150,000 Artsakh residents have lost their homeland and become refugees.
