A delegation led by Vice President of Uruguay, President of the Senate, Danilo Astori visited UWC Dilijan on 10 December.
According to the Armenian parliament press-service, the guests got firsthand view of the School that opened earlier in October, talked to the students and familiarized themselves with the everyday life and successes of the students.
UWC Dilijan College is one of two new UWC colleges opened in 2014. The college is a collaborative project of the philanthropists Ruben Vardanyan and Veronika Zonabend and their partners - private individuals and organizations. UWC Dilijan College is the first international college in the post-Soviet space to belong to the UWC system. The campus of UWC Dilijan College was built under the design of a leading, London-based architectural bureau. The project's designers studied best practices of construction of new schools in Asia and the Middle East. The college's high-tech buildings are built of environmentally sound materials and designed in such a way to minimize impact on the surrounding environment. The campus's security system has several levels and meets international standards. Students of UWC Dilijan College are provided a wide selection of outdoor summer and winter sports.
