Европейский эксперт: Для особого пути Баку на Запад ресурсов хватает

 Азербайджан
находится в таком выгодном положении, что ему не надо ничего и никому
доказывать. Пусть сколько угодно звучат слова о том, что нефть скоро
закончится, что демократии в этой стране нет, однако, пока ситуация складывается
в пользу Алиева и он может себе позволить выбирать форматы сотрудничества.
Подобное мнение, отвечая на вопрос АрмИнфо в рамках онлайн интервью, выразила
член Ассоциации европейского центра контактов между Востоком и Западом Эрика
Лернер.


"Подписание АА и DCFTA предполагает
определенные обязательства, а Баку считает, что ему невыгодно пока что вступать
в такие отношения с ЕС, когда он будет чем-то обязан, и когда ЕС будет
контролировать экономику Азербайджана. Пока ЕС зависит от азербайджанского экспорта,
Баку никого не пустит контролировать свою нефть. Именно поэтому, заявляя о том,
что статус ассоциации с ЕС Азербайджан не устраивает, президент Азербайджана
демонстрирует тем самым особое положение своей страны по сравнению не только со
странами региона, но и со многими странами СНГ", - отметила эксперт.


По ее оценкам, Алиев прекрасно понимает,
что членство в ЕС - это вопрос многих десятилетий, но одновременно он дает
понять, что его страна не будет ассоциированным кандидатом, топчущимся у порога
ЕС. Если ЕС предложит иные выгодные условия для сотрудничества, Баку
согласится, но получать какой-либо статус для поддержания этих отношений не
станет. Нынешний интерес Европы к 
энергоресурсам из Азербайджана, по мнению Лернер, позволяет Алиеву вести
такого рода политику: главная цель этого интереса - диверсификация поставщиков
энергоресурсов на рынок ЕС. "Понятно, что доля Азербайджана на этом рынке
невелика, что снятие санкций с Ирана делает эту долю еще меньше, но для особого
пути Баку на Запад ресурсов пока что хватает", - подытожила эксперт.
