In the big-league politics Recep Erdogan's anti-Armenian statements are a trifle, political expert Alexander Manasyan said at today's press conference. He thinks that the Armenian authorities have taken a correct decision to attend the Turkish President-elect's swearing-in ceremony at the level of Foreign Ministry.
"Many of those coming out against Armenia's participation in the swearing-in ceremony point at Erdogan's insulting statements against Armenians, but in the big-league politics such statements are a trifle. Yerevan's participation in that event means maintaining certain contacts with Turkey, which is more important and more correct than burning the bridges", he said.
To recall, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will attend Erdogan's swearing-in ceremony on August 28.
