ArmInfo.  The Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has been an important player in the political arena of Armenia throughout the difficult years for the country, has been one of the leading forces ensuring stability and development in the country, and continues to firmly stand on the positions of preserving and protecting national values. This was stated by the third  President of Armenia, Chairman of the Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan  at the jubilee session of the RPA on the occasion of the 35th  anniversary of the founding of this political force.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan proposed that Azerbaijan simultaneously sign both a peace agreement and a statement on the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. He stated this on April 15 from the rostrum of the parliament.

ArmInfo.  Yerevan Mayor Tigran Avinyan and Lyon Mayor Gregory Doucet signed a three-year memorandum of decentralized cooperation.  As ArmInfo was informed by the press service of the capital's municipality, the agreement will focus on opportunities for exchanging experiences and implementing joint  projects aimed to develop local self- government and improve the  quality of public services.   

ArmInfo.  The Armenian government has effectively deprived the 120,000 exiled population of Artsakh of their Armenian citizenship. Artsakh Ombudsman and human rights activist Gegham Stepanyan stated this in an interview with Armenian media, referring to the government's decision, according to which the Artsakh residents either "re-accept" citizenship or receive temporary protection status. 

ArmInfo.  During its term in office, compared to the previous 6-year period, the government of Nikol Pashinyan has increased financial assistance to its colleagues from Artsakh by 2.3 times. ArmInfo.  The cessation of discussions on the problems of the Artsakh residents expelled from their homeland at various international venues will not lead to the signing of a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan. This was stated in an interview with Armenian media by Artsakh Ombudsman and  member of the recently created Council for the Protection of the  Rights of the Artsakh People Gegham Stepanyan.

ArmInfo.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has considered creating a jury trial in Armenia. The idea could be included in the new version of the country's Constitution, he announced on April 15 in parliament during a  discussion of the report on the implementation of the RA government  program for 2024.

ArmInfo.  The ruling Civil Contract faction of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia rejected the draft law on the abolition of the income declaration system for individuals proposed by the opposition Armenia faction at its session on April 15. Only 27 deputies voted for including the  issue on the agenda of the NA session, with 59 against and 1  abstention.

ArmInfo. We have a very active Armenian- Turkish dialogue, as evidenced by contacts between the  parties at various levels. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this in an interview with Turkish  NTV, touching upon the Armenian-Turkish normalization.

ArmInfo.Armenia does not see any fundamental problems with opening transport communications,  routes, infrastructure in the South Caucasus region. This was stated by the head of the Armenian MFA, Ararat Mirzoyan, in an interview with  Turkish NTV, touching upon the provision of a route to Azerbaijan through the country's Syunik.

ArmInfo.The Armenian Legal Center for Justice and Human Rights operating within the Hay Dat  system and based in Washington, has strongly condemned the decision of the Armenian government to drop an international arrest warrant for Azerbaijani war criminal Kamil Zeynalli, as reported in Center's  statement received by ArmInfo from the press service of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA). ArmInfo. Armenian authorities are resorting to new tricks to legitimize their illegal actions, as stated by the leader of the Mother Armenia bloc, Andranik Tevanyan, to journalists on April 14.

ArmInfo.  The ARF  Youth Union of Armenia and the Nikol Aghbalyan Student Union are organizing a traditional torchlight procession on the eve of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire.  As reported by the ARF press service, the procession will start on April 23 at 7:15 p.m.  local time from Republic Square.  The ARF noted that the torchlight  procession symbolizes the continued struggle for international  recognition and condemnation of the Armenian Genocide, opposing  denial and oblivion.
