ArmInfo.Former Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan  has announced his full support  for Samvel Karapetyan. "Yes, I support Samvel Karapetyan, but I'm not in the mood for an interview today. We can discuss this another time," the former Prime Minister stated.

ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan recounted a conversation he had with then-Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan in the National Security Service (NSS) detention center in April 2018. He denied reports that he was offered the position of Deputy Prime Minister at the time.

ArmInfo.  If there were a party in Armenia reflecting our ideas, perhaps we would look toward its direction, as stated by Narek Karapetyan,  vice-president of Tashir GC and coordinator of the "In Our Way"   movement,  which was  presented today. He was commenting on the possibility of the return  of former leaders of the Republic of Armenia through the new party  being created.

ArmInfo.  A clearly unfounded and illegal criminal prosecution is being carried out against the former Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of the Republic of  Armenia Vardan Harutyunyan. This is stated in the statement of his  lawyers.

ArmInfo.Businessman and philanthropist, head of the Russian group of companies "Tashir"  Samvel Karapetyan was detained in Yerevan last night.

A large crowd has gathered at the house of Samvel Karapetyan, the head of the Tashir Group of Companies and prominent Armenian-Russian businessman.  According to media reports, searches are being conducted in the house and several people have been detained. However, contrary to earlier reports, Samvel Karapetyan is not among those detained.

ArmInfo. A new criminal prosecution  has been launched against the former Chief of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, Colonel General Movses Hakobyan. According to  the indictment, due to Hakobyan's negligence, unsuitable military  equipment was delivered to Armenia from Russia 9 years ago. Also in  the dock is the former head of the Missile Troops and Artillery  Department of the Armed Forces, Major General Armen Harutyunyan. This  was reported to Public Television by the Prosecutor General's Office.

ArmInfo.On September 10, the National Assembly of Armenia gave the green light to the ratification  of a cooperation agreement with the EU's single justice agency.

ArmInfo.On September 5, the Standing Committee of the RA National Assembly gave a positive  opinion on the draft ratification of the agreement on cooperation with the EU agency for criminal justice.
