Russia is increasing its military
presence in Armenia, a local Haykakan-Zhamank Daily writes.
The paper writes that the 102nd military base in
Gyumri will be seriously replenished shortly. The manpower at the military base
and their families will be increased to 2500-3000 people.
The '8th township' in Gyumri, populated mainly by
Russian militaries and their families, is prepared for the 'new occupants.' Several
dozens of local Armenian families will be resettled shortly.
"They will be provided with relevant certificates
in order they could move to another place of residence. Hence, Russia sells weapons to Azerbaijan
simultaneously increasing its military presence in Armenia to protect it
against those weapons," the paper writes.
