More than 14,000 transport means are imported to Azerbaijan

Baku. More than 14,000  
transport means were imported to Azerbaijan in January and February of
this year in Azerbaijan. In February import dropped by 2.4% compared with the
previous month.

According to the State Customs Committee,
in February 6962 transport means were delivered to the country; in January
-  7130.

The import of cars totaled 91.2% or
12,856.  The SCC in contrast to last
year, does not disclose data on second hand cars. Since the summer of 2012 the
used cars must meet minimum environmental standards Euro-3.

In January this year, 209 buses, 894
trucks and 132 special equipment were brought to the country.

In 2012, imports of cars in Azerbaijan
rose by 38% and totaled 89,652 units. 
According to the SCC, total declared value of the   transport means and spare parts delivered to
the country   was $115.6 million; by 13.7%
less compared with the same period of last year.
