The international congress of plastic reconstructive and aesthetic surgery kicked off in Armenia on 24 October. The conference is dedicated to the use of information technologies in plastic surgery.
The congress brought together surgeons from Georgia, Russia, U.S., Germany, Austria, South Korea, Turkey and other states. The participants will discuss issues related to reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, use of new technologies in dermato-cosmetology, natural defects and age involutional changes.
Armenian Deputy Health Minister Vahan Poghosyan conveyed the message of Minister Derenik Dumanyan in which he expressed hope that the congress will strengthen traditional ties between experts from regional states and will open up new cooperation prospects.
As chairman of the Armenian Association of Plastic Surgeons Armen Hovhannisyan told ArmInfo correspondent, plastic surgery is a rapidly developing field. "New technologies are introduced in plastic and aesthetic surgery every year, and we are interested in introducing new technologies in Armenia," he added.
The event is organized by the Armenian Association of Plastic Surgeons with the support of Georgian colleagues and Zita Congress.
