The Republican Party of Armenia
(RPA) has given start to a new more active phase in the country's political
life, the leader of the RPA, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan said at the
party's meeting on Saturday.
He pointed out that the RPA is the pivotal political
force in the country, so, it must be especially active.
Sargsyan urged the Republican MPs not to miss
parliamentary sessions and to forget their personal affairs when in the
Parliament.
The President is glad that during the recent tensions
in the Nagorno- Karabakh conflict zone the Armenian MPs kept visiting the
frontline so as to encourage the Nagrono-Karabakh armed forces.
Sargsyan complimented the Government for being active
and transparent. He urged the
Republican MPs to assist the Government in its work and the Government to give
an ear to the views of their colleagues from the Parliament.
The President stressed the need for constitutional
reforms. He said that the concept of the reforms will be ready by Oct 15 2014. "We
are ready to consider all sensible proposals," he said.
