Air Armenia has launched a Yerevan- St.Petersburg direct flight, says "Air Gates of Northern Capital" LLC, which manages the infrastructure of Pulkovo Airport in St.Petersburg.
"The flights will be made once a week, on Saturdays", the statement says. The first flight was made on November 16. The flight duration is 3 hours 35 minutes.
To recall, on October 23 Air Armenia made the first passenger charter flight en-route Rostov-on-Don- Yerevan. The company is permitted to make flights to Moscow, St.Petersburg, Samara, Sochi, Krasnodar and Roston-on-Don.
Earlier President of Air Armenia Vahan Harutyunyan told journalists that in summer 2014 Air Armenia is going to expand its flight geography and to purchase extra planes on lease. By late 2013 the company is planning to purchase two A-320 planes.
To note, Air Armenia CJSC was founded in April 2003. Before 2013 it was engaged in cargo transportation by air.
