It is time to put an end to sufferings and haltered, make bold moves and concessions to each other to achieve durable peace. OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair of the USA James Warlick said in a statement in Baku, Novosti-Azerbaijan reported.
Warlick said that the parties to the conflict should make joint constructive steps based on the provisions of the Helsinki Final Act. He said that the visit program includes meetings with the leaderships of Azerbaijan and Armenia, a fact-finding trip to Nagorno Karabakh to collect thorough information on the conflict and learn more about it from different opinions. He thinks it is time for combined efforts and bold steps by the OSCE MG, the leaderships of Azerbaijan and Armenia and other countries in the region to achieve durable peace for future prosperity and development of the region. He urged the two countries and peoples to display political will and make bold steps to achieve durable peace on the threshold of the 20th anniversary of the ceasefire treaty.
The US diplomat said that Secretary of State John Kerry tasked him to mediate the Karabakh peace process to achieve a practical solution to the conflict. "Secretary of State John Kerry is sure that it is time for a lasting solution for Nagorno Karabakh for peace and stability in the region," Warlick said. The diplomat said that before he is back to the USA he would stay in Vienna to meet OSCE Secretary General. In addition, he is going to meet with the OSCE MG Co-Chairs on sidelines of the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
