Tbilisi. On Thursday, April 18, Maia Panjikidze began her first official visit to Canada in the
rank of the Foreign Minister of Georgia, the Press and Information Department
of Georgian MFA reported.
In the framework of the visit Panjikidze
will meet with her Canadian counterpart John Russell Baird and representatives
of the legislative body of Canada. On Monday, First Deputy Foreign Minister of
Georgia David Zalkaniani stated that Panjikidze's visit was of great significance as Canada was
Georgia's important partner in North America and it support was also important
from the point of view of Georgia's integration to the North Atlantic
Alliance.
