Tbilisi. According to results of the public opinion poll,
conducted by the "Psychoproject"
research-consulting center, majority of the population of Georgia supports
candidate for presidency from the ruling coalition Georgian Dream Giorgi
Margvelashvili.
The survey was conducted on the order of
the Georgian Dream's headquarters within the period October 8-18. Over 1,6
thousand people were questioned according to the principle of random selection.
Error margin totals 3,5%.
According to the results of the public
opinion poll, 57,6% of respondents would want Margvelashvili to be a head of the
state.
11,8% supported candidate from the
pro-presidential United National Movement David Bakardze, 7,1% - leader of the
party Democratic Movement-United Georgia, the parliamentary ex-speaker Nino
Burjanadze, 3,1% supported the Labor Party's leader Shalva Natelashvili, 2% -
impendent candidate Nestan Kirtadze, 1,7% - leader of the Christian-Democratic
Movement Giorgia Targamadze.
2,4% of respondents found it difficult to
answer the question, 10,3% refused to answer, 4,7% did not support any of
candidates.
According to results of surveys, that were
conducted earlier, none of candidates got over 50% that was necessary for the
victory in the first round of the elections.
