"We are encouraged that Presidents Aliyev and Sargsyan met in Sochi on August 10 to discuss the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh," said U.S. co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group James Warlick in response to APA's question about the outcomes of Sochi meeting.
"I was particularly pleased to hear both the Presidents reaffirm their commitment to resolving the conflict through peaceful means and to continue their dialogue. We are hopeful that the situation along the Line of Contact stabilizes, and that the sides find the political will to work with the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to bring about a settlement," he said.
To recall, the trilateral meeting Sargsyan-Aliyev-Putin in Sochi on 10 August was the initiative of the Russian leader. The sides agreed to continue the peace talks and defuse tensions in the conflict zone.
