The leader of Republic Party, former Premier and brother of Vazgen Sargsyan Aram Sargsyan blames the ruling regime for the beating of the Nagorno-Karabakh war veterans on Wednesday.
"This was really inadmissible and I blame the ruling regime for this. The absence of my brother, Vazgen Sargsyan, is not a guarantee that anybody can raise his hand against his comrades-in-arms," Sargsyan said, urging the veterans to consolidate.
On December 10, around 10 am, unknown persons beat Suren Sargsyan, Artsakh war veteran, member of the Council of Field Commanders. According to Sargsyan, four masked persons attacked him when he was leaving home in the morning. Sargsyan said that the offenders actually introduced themselves as the people of Mher Sedrakyan (MP from the ruling Republican Party of Armenia - editor's note). Earlier the Artsakh war veteran made a couple of uncomplimentary remarks against Mher Sedrakyan, who has recently stated that Armenia won the Karabakh war "thanks to Russians". Sargsyan, however, thinks that the offenders mentioned Mher Sedrakyan's name to mislead him. The veteran thinks that the attack was initiated by Serzh Sargsyan himself. "Only Serzh Sargsyan is capable of creating criminal groupings in Armenia. But I promise they won't get away with it. We will find them by all means", Suren Sargsyan said in an interview with Pre-Parliament.
