Karen Donfried: US administration supports the fair settlement of the conflict through peace

At the meeting with Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov, Karen Donfried, Special Assistant to the U.S. President and Senior Director for European Affairs at the National Security, said the US administration supports the fair settlement of the conflict through peace. He called it important for development of the region.

Mamaddyarov, in turn, said that foremost Armenian troops must be withdrawn from "the Azerbaijani territories" and this demand was also reflected in the resolutions of the UN Security Council.
