Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey have expressed very similar stands on a range of regional and international issues and came out for peaceful resolution of conflicts in the region on the basis of the territorial integrity principle.
The statements were made at the Fourth Trilateral Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia and the Republic of Turkey in Kars on 10 December 2014, Anadolu reports.
Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said Turkey reiterates its resolute support for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and Georgia. Armenia was not involved in the trilateral mechanism Turkey- Azerbaijan-Georgia due to the existing problems, he said.
In this light, the minister said he had quite effective meetings with the Georgian and Azerbaijan opposite numbers Elmar Mammadyarov and Tamar Beruchasvili and discussed implementation of such important projects as construction of Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway and the Trans Anatolia Natural Gas Pipeline, TANAP.
