One should not wait for any progress in relations, until any consensus is reached between NATO and CSTO, chairman of Democratic Party of Armenia, Aram Sargsyan, said at today's press-conference.
He said that the world is no longer a single-pole one, and the West will not be able to adopt decisions without taking into consideration the viewpoint of Russia and China. "If they need establishment of the Eurasian cooperation, they had to establish cooperation with each other, but not perform race and impose pressure upon the countries", - he said.
Touching on the Vilnius summit and the Association Agreement, Sargsyan said that such significant agreements to be signed, should be available to the community for the latter to study and estimate what they are going to come across with in future. "We still are not aware, what is the Association Agreement, and how much beneficial it was for the Armenian party", - the politician said and added that Armenian citizens should be fully informed about the benefits of joining the Customs Union too. He thinks that after joining the CU official Yerevan should resolve problems linked with corruption, monopolies and should decrease poverty level. Moreover, the country should become competitive.
The leader of the Democratic Party thinks that any country loses a part of its sovereignty when integrating in any structure, the EU or the Customs Union.
