Vice-speaker of the Armenian parliament, press-secretary of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Edward Sharmazanov, thinks that the xenophobic policy conducted by Baku damages itself first of all.
To recall, the head of the department for political and public issues of Azerbaijani president's administration, Ali Hasanov, came forward with a regular blaming of Armenians and said that 200 years ago the Armenians allegedly committed genocide against Azerbaijan which did not exist then. He also advised his compatriots to avoid Armenians.
Sharmazanov said that Hasanov's such statements show the true face of this state. "On the threshold of the OSCE MG co-chairs' visit to the region, the Azerbaijanis, faithful to the policy of lie and fraud, propagate hatred and enmity to the Armenians. As a result, an Armenian serviceman was killed by an Azerbaijani sniper at the line of contact. History showed that such a policy damages Azerbaijan first of all. One thing is clear - the Azerbaijanis have learnt nothing and forgotten nothing", - Sharmazanov said.
