Armenia is taking all possible measures for repatriation of Hakob Injighulyan, Armenian captive in Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan told media, Wednesday.
He said that measures are taken at all levels and in all possible directions. Meetings and negotiations are being held. The Foreign Ministry and other structures that can somehow contribute to settlement of the issue have been involved in process, the deputy minister said.
According to Kocharyan, no matter how Injighulyan will be returned, details are not essential. "What we care about is his return," he said.
The Armenian private fell in captivity late at night on 7 August after his lost his bearings. Violating the relevant General Conventions, the Azerbaijan party did not allow the ICRC representative to visit Injighulyan for various reasons. Nevertheless, representatives of the ICRC Office in Baku visited the Armenian private on 20 August. Injighulyan contacted his family with help of the ICRC representatives.
