Armenian Parliament ratifies Armenia-EU visa facilitation and readmission agreements

 The Armenian Parliament ratified on Monday the Armenia-EU visa facilitation and readmission agreements.
Armenia's Deputy Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said that the agreements were ratified in Dec 2012 and Apr 2013, respectively. 

The visa facilitation agreement stipulates a facilitated procedure for people planning to stay in the EU for no more than 90 days in any 180- day period. In such cases visas will be issued within 10 days and will cost 35 EUR. 

People with diplomatic passports will be required no visa for short stays.

The European Parliament approved the agreements on Oct 9. The documents will take effect within a month after their ratification.
