 Վրաստանում փոքրամասնությունների, այդ թվում ազգային փոքրամասնությունների և վրացիների իրավունքների պաշտպանության գործում առայժմ մեծ տարբերություն չկա: Հետևաբար հարկ չկա այդ առումով առանձնացնել այս կամ այն ազգային խումբը: Այդպիսi կարծիք է հայտնել փաստաբան, վրացական ՙԳերակայություն ըստ մարդու իրավունքների՚ ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպության ղեկավար Լիա Մուխաշավրիան` առցանց հարցազրույցում պատասխանելով Վրաստանում ազգային փոքրամասնությունների և վրացիների իրավունքների պաշտպանության տարբերության վերաբերյալ ԱրմԻնֆոյի հարցին:

Մեկնաբանելով օրերս Բիձինա Իվանշվիլիի արած հայտարարությունը, որում որպես իր կառավարության գլխավոր խնդիրներից մեկը նա նշել էր Վրաստանում ժողովրդավարական արժեքների հաստատումն ու մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությունը, իրավապաշտպանը  նշել է, թե իրավիճակն, անշուշտ, բարելավվել է: ՙԴադարեցվել են խոշտանգումները բանտերում, կալանավորների թիվը նվազել է ավելի քան 60 տոկոսով, իսկ բոլոր ամենացավոտ խնդիրները, որոնք առնչվում էին լեփ-լեցուն հաստատություններին, վերացել են: Ավարտվել է այսպես կոչված դատավարական համաձայնագրերի շրջանը, երբ մարդիկ փողով ազատություն էին գնում դատախազի հետ դատավարական պայմանագրի տեսքով: Դադարեցվել են զանգվածային ձերբակալությունները, որոնք իրականացվում էին ոչ թե մեղավորներիn պատժելու, այլ դատավարական պայմանագրի հաշվին բյուջեն համալրելու համար՚, - նկատել է Մուխաշավրիան:

Նրա կարծիքով, այսօր Վրաստանի օրենսդիր և գործադիր իշխանություններում շատ լուրջ աշխատանք է ընթանում մարդու իրավունքներին առնչվող իրավիճակը բարելավելու համար: Ընդ որում Մուխաշավրիան առանձնապես կարևորել է դատական համակարգի բարեփոխումը, հաշվի առնելով, որ այդ համակարգը երկրում խախտված իրավունքի վերականգնման երաշխավորն է: ՙՄենք լիահույս ենք, որ մեզ կհաջողվի բարենորոգել դատական համակարգը առանց լուրջ կորուստներi ու տեղաշարժի: Սակայն արդեն այսօր, ես համոզված եմ, մենք  ապրում ենք ժողովրդավարական երկրում՚, - ընդգծել է իրավապաշտպանը:

Նա նաև համաձայնել է վրացական մի շարք ոչ կառավարական կազմակերպությունների այն կարծիքին, որ մայիսի 17-ին Թբիլիսիում ՈԿԿ կազմակերպած ՙՆույնականություն՚ ակցիան սադրիչ բնույթի էր: Ոչ ավանդական կողմնորոշումների ներկայացուցիչները, նրա գնահատմամբ, պարզապես, նշում էին հոմոֆոբիայի դեմ պայքարի միջազգային օրը: Արդյունքում` իրավիճակը դուրս եկավ հոգևորականության վերահսկողությունից, որը, նրա կարծիքով,  չէր սպասում հակացուցարարների այդպիսի մեծ թիվ և այդպիսի ագրեսիա: ՙԻսկ ընդհանուր առմամբ, նման սադրանքներն, անշուշտ, ձեռնտու են ՙԱզգային շարժում՚ նախկին քաղաքական ուժին, որն այժմ իրեն ներկայացնում է որպես ընդդիմություն՚, - ամփոփել է Մուխաշավրիան:

ՙՌեգիոն՚ հետազոտական կենտրոնը (Հայաստան) և Խաղաղության և ժողովրդավարության ինստիտուտը (Ադրբեջան) Հայաստանում և Ադրբեջանում Մեծ Բրիտանիայի դեսպանությունների աջակցությամբ արդի հրատապ հարցերի շուրջ տարբեր երկրների առաջատար փորձագետների համատեղ առցանց մամուլի ասուլիսներ են կազմակերպում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԶԼՄ-ների համար: Հարցազրույցները կազմակերպվում են ՙՄիմյանց վերաբերյալ հայերի և ադրբեջանցիների գիտելիքների ընդլայնում և փոխվստահության հաստատում` առաջին ձեռքից ստացվող տեղեկատվության միջոցով՚ նախագծի շրջանակում:
