ArmInfo. Azerbaijan will present its response proposals to Armenia regarding the peace treaty. This was stated by the head of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Jeyhun Bayramov, during a joint press conference with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia, Marko Djuric, on September 2.
He also recalled that on June 24 of this year, Azerbaijan presented its responses to Armenia regarding the draft peace treaty. "About 70 days later, just a few hours before the Prime Minister's press conference, Armenia submitted its own version to Azerbaijan. Several important points were excluded from the draft text they presented. These important points were not included in the draft agreement, and we were told that this was a resolution to the issue. Given the historical conflict, the treaty and each of its points are of significant importance.
Our recommendation to the Armenian side would be to take a more serious approach to these issues. In the near future, we will present to Armenia a version that is based on international law and meets our national interests," Bayramov said, according to Azerbaijani media. At the same time, the Azerbaijani minister responded to the words of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who claimed that the Constitution of Azerbaijan contains territorial claims not only to Armenia, but also to Georgia. He assured that these statements are not true.
