ArmInfo. Iran has always emphasized that the presence of foreign troops in the South Caucasus does not contribute to the establishment of security, stability and ensuring the interests of the peoples of the region. This was stated by I Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani , referring to the situation in the South Caucasus.
According to him, the security of the South Caucasus is one of Iran's most important priorities.
" The security of the South Caucasus affects the security of the entire region. Iran's strategy is to conduct negotiations and multilateral dialogue using existing mechanisms to resolve differences and establish peace, stability and security in the South Caucasus. Any approach aimed at increasing militarism in the South Caucasus will complicate the situation with security in the region and will harm the peace process in the region, and Iran will not accept this. The countries of the region do not want to form mechanisms that will complicate the situation in the region," he added, Mehr reports.
