The Armenian Foreign Ministry responded to Moscow's call amid the escalation of  the situation around Artsakh due to the actions of Azerbaijan.  Thus,  the commentary of Spokesperson the RA Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ani  Badalyan, in particular, redas: "In response to the call of the  official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to  Armenia and Azerbaijan to "cease hostilities and return to a  diplomatic settlement," we inform you that the armed forces of the  Republic of Armenia are not participating in military actions.

The RA has always been committed to resolving all existing issues  exclusively through political and diplomatic means, with appropriate  proposals>.

Earlier today, during a briefing, Zakharova said that Moscow is  deeply alarmed by the sharp escalation of the situation in  Nagorno-Karabakh.  "There are reports that the Azerbaijani armed  forces have begun, as Baku claims, "anti-terrorist measures" in the  region and the response actions of local Armenian armed forces.  The  Russian side urges the conflicting parties to stop the bloodshed,  immediately cease hostilities and return to the political and  diplomatic settlement.  All steps for a peaceful solution to the  Karabakh problem are spelled out in a set of trilateral statements by  the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia, which were adopted  between 2020 and 2022," she noted.
