ArmInfo.An exchange of views on issues of regional and international security of mutual interest took place between RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg at a meeting in Brussels.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the Armenian Foreign Minister presented to the NATO Secretary General the humanitarian crisis that arose in Nagorno-Karabakh as a result of the illegal blocking of the Lachin corridor by Azerbaijan, as well as the consequences of the ongoing policy of ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh pursued by the Azerbaijani authorities. In this context, the importance of clear action from the international community was emphasized to end the inhuman siege of Nagorno-Karabakh and return Azerbaijan to the negotiating table. Ararat Mirzoyan also briefed Jens Stoltenberg on the current developments in the Armenian-Turkish rapprochement process.
During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of the RA-NATO political dialogue, touched upon the current cooperation programs and future prospects.
