ArmInfo. On June 16, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by OSCE Parliamentary Assembly President Margareta Soderfelt.
According to the press service of the Prime Minister, Pashinyan attached importance to close cooperation and constant dialogue between the Armenian Parliament and the OSCE PA. He touched upon the ongoing democratic reforms in Armenia and stressed the important role of the international community in their effective implementation. The prime minister added that the development and strengthening of democratic principles and institutions will continue to be among the priorities of the Armenian government.
Soderfelt highly appreciated the cooperation with the RA parliamentary delegation, noted the intense activity of the latter in the Assembly. She welcomed the democratic reforms in the Republic of Armenia and highly appreciated the holding of last year's extraordinary parliamentary elections in accordance with international standards.
At the request of the OSCE PA Head, Pashinyan also touched upon the internal political situation in Armenia, the processes taking place in the South Caucasus. He also presented the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh. The RA Prime Minister noted the importance of strengthening stability and peace in the region and a commensurate response from the international community to provocative statements and actions that undermine regional stability, as well as to steps to destroy the Armenian cultural heritage in the territories that came under the control of Azerbaijan.
At the same time, Pashinyan attached importance to a comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.
