ArmInfo.Newly appointed Ambassador of Armenia to the Republic of Kazakhstan Armen Ghevondyan presented his credentials to the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, at the solemn ceremony held at the presidential residence, Tokayev noted that Armenia is one of the key partners of Kazakhstan in the CIS region. Stressing that bilateral relations with Armenia are based on deep historical ties, the head of Kazakhstan expressed hope that lasting peace and prosperity in the strategically important region of the South Caucasus will further strengthen the Armenian-Kazakhstan multi-sectoral bilateral and multilateral partnership.
In turn, Ghevondyan expressed his readiness to make efforts to expand and use the potential of the Armenian-Kazakh interstate relations, which are based on the basic principles enshrined in the Great Treaty between the two countries of September 2, 1999.
