ArmInfo.The process of identifying the remains of the bodies of servicemen who died as a result of the 44-day Artsakh war has been completed. Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan announced this during a press conference on January 24.
According to her, all related processes were completed about 7-8 months ago. "There are no queues for examination for a long time," the minister stressed.
The head of the department also said that there were cases when the Ministry of Health attracted international specialized bodies to identify bodies. In particular, according to Avanesyan, about 100 samples were sent to the Netherlands, the results of which have already been summarized.
At the same time, she noted with regret that due to severe damage, some of the remains of the bodies of the servicemen could not be identified.
Earlier the Ministry of Health reported that in the period from September 27, 2020 to February 13, 2021, the bodies of 3,577 servicemen underwent a forensic medical examination.
