ArmInfo. A telephone conversation between Russian and Armenian Foreign Ministers Sergei Lavrov and Ararat Mirzoyan took place.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the heads of the foreign ministries discussed topical issues of the bilateral, regional and international agenda. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of the Sochi agreements of the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia dated November 26, 2021.
The Russian side emphasid the need to ensure the earliest start of work on the delimitation of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border with its subsequent demarcation, as well as to translate into a practical plane the agreements within the framework of the Trilateral Working Group on unblocking transport and economic ties co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia.
Meanwhile, according to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the importance of the full restoration of the peace process in accordance with the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs for a lasting and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict was noted.
Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov also discussed the implementation of the agreements within the framework of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and November 11 and 26, 2021.
Mirzoyan stressed that the bellicose statements of the Azerbaijani leadership, threats to use force seriously threaten regional stability and security.
The foreign ministers discussed issues related to the "3 + 3" initiative, as well as issues of mutual interest.
