ArmInfo.The U.S. is ready to support the efforts to establish long- lasting and comprehensive peace in the region, U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy told reporters in Yerevan, on Friday, as she answered a question as to whether U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken`s meetings with the Armenian and Russian FMs mean the U.S. is intensifying its regional efforts.
Though Secretary of State Blinken, the U.S. Department of State and U.S. Embassy in Armenia, the United States is willing to support the efforts establish long-lasting and comprehensive peace in the region, Ambassador Tracy said.
Armenian FM Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, at their meeting December 2, had a detailed discussion of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. The sides stressed a need for full recovery of the peace process to settle the conflict within the OSCE Minsk Group. They highlighted the U.S. role as co- chairing state. At his meting with Russian FM Sergey Lavrov, Mr Blinken welcomed the direct dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
