ArmInfo. The risk of a large-scale collision does not depend on the accumulation of forces near the border, since this is a relative concept, but on the aggressive policy pursued by Azerbaijan. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan expressed a similar opinion in the course of answering media questions.
"And our task is to use all international loopholes to resist this aggressive policy," he added. By and large, over the past 15 years, as the head of government noted, little has changed in the policy of Azerbaijan, moreover, after the 44-day war, it has become more aggressive. According to the Prime Minister, this very aggression of Azerbaijan should be used against them as well.
Pashinyan described the statements of the Azerbaijani side about the Zangezur corridor, about the appropriation of one or another section of the Republic of Armenia as international hooliganism. In this regard, he noted that Azerbaijan is trying to turn the region into a jungle. "Using international levers, we must show that this is an attack on the statehood, independence, sovereignty and democracy of Armenia," Pashinyan said, saying that he intends to present this issue at the upcoming US Democracy Summit.
With this he explained the reason for filing a claim with the International Court of The Hague. Noting that a preliminary decision of the Court is expected at this stage, the Prime Minister stressed that this process is very important, including from the point of view of establishing new foundations for Armenia and Artsakh in the issue of the conflict settlement.
