ArmInfo. During the questions and answers of parliamentarians to the current government in the National Assembly of Armenia, the most frequently asked question was about the state border.
Thus, to the question of the lawmaker from the bloc "I Have the Honor" Artur Ghazinyan about how the state border of the Republic of Armenia is determined, the Prime Minister once again referred to the Law "On Administrative-Territorial Division", which was adopted in 2010 and for which the majority voted represented by the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.
"This law specifies where Armenia ends and Azerbaijan begins. And today we proceed from this reality. But this does not mean that this approach is 100% correct. We say that the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the state border in the Sotk-Khoznavar section, and we have a certain status quo in the remaining sections. But the state border has not undergone any changes. Another issue is that it has not been clarified and needs to be delimited and demarcated, "he said.
In response to such a statement by the head of government, MP Ghazinyan noted that the provisions of the RA Law on Borders were violated. In this vein, he stressed that the Law "On Administrative-Territorial Division" cannot serve as a basis for determining the boundaries. "The state border is determined by the approved procedure of the RA Law" On the State Border ", and if there are no specified borders with a neighboring country, then the territory of the country is the land where the units of its armed forces are located. Concessions are possible only within the framework of the international process of signing and ratifying an international treaty, war or other mechanisms, "said Ghazinyan.
After hearing such comments, the Prime Minister simply wished the parliamentarian good luck.
