On October 26, in an interview with reporters, MP from the "Armenia"  faction, former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran  Ohanyan stated this in the National Assembly, upon completion of a  closed discussion on the situation on the line of contact between  Armenia and Azerbaijan.

He stated that in the course of a closed discussion and analysis,  their partners provided some confidential information, which he will  not touch upon. Ohanyan added that the results of this meeting allow  him to draw several conclusions, in particular, "We have invited  political leaders here - I mean, the top officials of departments  that have political, strategic, military-political and legal  foundations. During these discussions, we did not receive answers to  many questions, including those related to the assessment of the  situation after the war, the implementation of strategic revisions  within the state within the framework of this. I mean a full  assessment of the security environment, the state of the contact line  between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and the measures taken by Armenia in  this direction. "

Ohanyan recalled that according to a statement dated November 9,  2020, the troops were to remain in the same positions where  hostilities stopped. As he noted, according to this, there was no  reason to withdraw troops from the places where hostilities had  ceased - this applies to both the units of the Artsakh Defense Army  and the Armenian Armed Forces, especially in Gegharkunik and Syunik  regions.   "Our conclusion is: all this was done by the Armenian authorities on  the basis of verbal agreements. Let them evaluate it and present it  to the public," he said, adding that the deployment of troops at  strategic heights was not accepted in time. At the same time, Ohanyan pointed out the importance of enhancing  interaction and interchangeability between the RA Ministry of Defense  and the National Security Service in the current conditions, both in  the implementation of combat service and in the performance of combat  missions.  At the same time, the lawmaker stated that today, without  any legal basis, under the compulsion of Azerbaijan, the border is  being demarcated. "No one has drawn conclusions about the reasons for  the invasion of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces into the sovereign  territory of Armenia, who is to blame for this, what punishment the  perpetrators suffered, what is being done to resolve this situation  and restore the border. Moreover, in these conditions, the rhetoric  of Azerbaijan and Turkey is aimed at the fact that Armenia should  sign some kind of peace agreement, recognize the territorial  integrity of Azerbaijan and begin the process of delimitation and  demarcation. This reality causes our concern, "he said, recalling the  exaggerated talks about the existence of" shadow agreements "between  the parties. Ohanyan noted that the opposition forces today, in all  possible ways, are trying to prevent a situation like November 9,  2020.  Clarifying on the journalists' question whether the situation  on the roads of Kapan and around Mount Pela was discussed, Ohanyan  noted that both issues were touched upon. "They say that there were  no positional changes at the height of Mount Pela. They confirmed  that there was a Russian stronghold between the Armenian and  Azerbaijani positions. And this stronghold of the Russian side was  eliminated by their decision, and there were no positional changes,"  Ohanyan said, adding that in these conditions it would be right to go  and get acquainted with the situation on the spot. 

It should be noted that today, on the initiative of the opposition  ("Armenia" and "I have the honor" blocs), closed discussions were  held in the Armenian parliament, related to the situation on the  front line, and the issues of demarcation and delimitation between  Armenia and Azerbaijan.
