ArmInfo.A regular meeting of the trilateral working group of deputy prime ministers of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan was held today in Moscow.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Mher Grigoryan, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev and Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Alexei Overchuk continued their consideration of the prospects for the restoration of transport communications in the South Caucasus region and discussed the progress of further work carried out within the framework of the Trilateral Statement of November 9 last year.
As the Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia reported earlier, within the framework of the trilateral working group, the restoration of all railways operating in the Soviet years is being discussed, without specifying which of them is a newly emerging priority on today's agenda.
As observers note, today's meeting is taking place against the background of positive developments related to the return of five prisoners of war by Azerbaijan to Armenia through the mediation of Russia. The meeting will continue tomorrow as well.
