"The Azerbaijan Republic and Armenia are two good neighbors of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so we can not work against each other," he added. "Iran's foreign policy is a balanced foreign policy. Therefore, in line with the common interests of Iran with Azerbaijan and the common interests of Iran with Armenia, we are regulating relations between the two countries."
"As the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia visited Tehran a few days ago, there is an opportunity for the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan to visit Tehran, and I will also visit the two countries at the appropriate time," the foreign minister said.
To remind, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan paid a working visit to Iran on October 4. This was Mirzoyan's first visit to Iran after being appointed head of the Armenian Foreign Ministry. Mirzoyan invited his Iranian counterpart to visit Armenia. On October 6 in parliament, referring to the results of his visit to Tehran, the Armenian Foreign Minister assured that "from the first day of his tenure as the head of the RA Foreign Ministry, he has formed good, friendly relations with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian."
