Yesterday, the "Civil Contract" ruling faction nominated former minister of high-tech industry Hakob Arshakyan for this post, who left the post due to a scandalous fight with a journalist. The candidate for the post of the third deputy chairman of the National Assembly is Ishkhan Saghatelyan from the "Hayastan" opposition faction. On August 3, Ruben Rubinyan from the Civil Contract was elected deputy speaker by secret ballot. After the election of the deputy speakers, the parliament will move on to the election of the chairmen of the standing committees. The factions also presented initiatives on the creation of the NA standing committees.
