ArmInfo. Permanent Representative of Armenia to the UN Mher Margaryan drew the attention of the President of the UN Security Council Nicolas de Riviere to the continuing encroachments by Azerbaijan on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, which led to human losses. Margaryan stated this in an official letter addressed to the head of the UN Security Council.
In particular, the letter says that the aggressive actions of Azerbaijan against Armenia are accompanied by territorial demands voiced at the highest level, threats of military action, and hate speech on the basis of nationality.
Mher Margaryan stressed that Armenia is determined to use the legal right to self-defense in the issue of ensuring its sovereignty and territorial integrity on the basis of Article 51 of the UN Charter. "Armenia is confident that a comprehensive and long-term political settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict should proceed peacefully, under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs," he said in the letter. It is reported that the letter was sent to the members of the UN Security Council and will soon be published as an official document of the UN Security Council.
