ArmInfo. During the meeting with the delegation of the National Assembly of Armenia headed by Speaker of the Parliament Ararat Mirzoyan, President of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda noted that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of Armenian- Lithuanian diplomatic relations.
As reported by the press service of the RA Parliament, referring to the RA-EU relations, Nauseda pointed out the importance of ratifying the Comprehensive and Expanded Partnership Agreement, which entered into force on March 1 this year. The President of Lithuania also conveyed to Mirzoyan his words of support to the families of the victims of the 44-day war.
In turn, Mirzoyan highly appreciated the level of dialogue between the two countries based on mutual respect and expressed the hope that bilateral contacts will again intensify in parallel with overcoming the pandemic. Presenting the current situation around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament stressed the need to resume negotiations in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group co- chairmanship in order to secure the right of the Artsakh Armenians to self-determination.
