ArmInfo.The Investigative Committee of Armenia has completed the investigation of the criminal case against two terrorist mercenaries, Muhrab Muhammad al-Shheri and Yousef Alabet al-Haji (citizens of Syria), who participated in the aggression against Artsakh on the side of Azerbaijan.
According to the press service of the IC, within the framework of a comprehensive and objective investigation, it was established that these persons, not being citizens of Azerbaijan, not permanently residing on its territory, not being involved in the service of the Azerbaijani army, but being citizens of the Syrian Arab Republic, not being sent by the authorities of Syria or another state to perform official duties as part of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, for material compensation, as part of an armed group, rparticipated in an aggressive war, unleashed by the leadership of Azerbaijan on September 27, 2020 against the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh.
It is noted that during the aggression, their actions were aimed at eliminating or inflicting serious injuries to persons who did not directly participate in the hostilities, and such actions by their nature and purpose were directed against the civilian population, to terrorize them, and to destabilize the situation in Armenia and Artsakh.
Both were charged under paragraph 1 part 3 of Article 217 of the RA Criminal Code, Article 389 of the RA Criminal Code, paragraph 1 part 1 of Article 34-390 of the RA Criminal Code, paragraph 1 part 3 of Article 34-390 of the RA Criminal Code, part 3 of Article 395 of the RA Criminal Code. The case with the indictment was transferred to the prosecutor for sending to the court.
