ArmInfo.Armenia needs more than a million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to Pashinyan, the Russian vaccine has already proven its effectiveness in practice and it is important for Armenia to purchase it. The prime minister said that on April 8 a new batch of the Russian vaccine - 15 thousand doses - will arrive in Armenia. "But we need more than 1 million doses," he said.
"Of course, we will discuss all these issues in the most detailed way. We will carefully consider all the issues that you consider necessary for discussion," the Russian president assured.
Vladimir Putin promised to meet the needs of Armenia for the vaccine. "Our production is developing. I think that we will solve this problem, not to the detriment of Russian consumers. Our production volume is comparable to the demand within the country," the President of the Russian Federation emphasized.
