In particular, it reads: "The statement of the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces, made on the morning of February 25, was not directed by anyone and was not made under pressure from anyone. This is a clear conviction and position of the general officers, whose goal is to serve the salvation of the Motherland at this crucial moment . Once again we confirm our clear position. "
As ArmInfo previously reported, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia issued a statement today in which it demanded the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and warned him against using force against his people. The statement was signed by more than 40 high-ranking officers. Reacting to the statement of the General Staff, Pashinyan called on his supporters to gather in Republic Square, and called the actions of the General Staff an unsuccessful attempt at a military coup. He also stated that he dismissed the head of the General Staff Onik Gasparyan.
